Three Blockbuster Collin Sexton Trades:  2. Boston Celtics

This trade is more of a stretch and is only possible if Boston decides to split up the forward tandem of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum due to their incredibly similar play style. Tatum seems to be the better of the two, being younger with more All-Star Appearances, so moving Brown would likely be the decision.

Brown is an elite three-level scorer who can turn around and play elite perimeter defense as well, a talent set that is incredibly valuable for any team to have.

Due to the fact that Brown is such a special young player and plays an important role on any team, the Cavaliers will definitely have to give up a flurry of picks. Three first-round picks, only one top-five protected as well as two protected second-round picks and two pick swaps should be enough to complete this trade.

Brown would add size and versatility on both ends for the Cavaliers, adding both spacing and defensive prowess, allowing players like Allen and Mobley to shine as their strengths go well with Brown’s. This will also allow the playmaking ability of Garland to thrive as he will have another option on the perimeter to hit tough threes.

The Cavs will, once again, have an extra roster spot to add a player to round out the lineup if they wish. They would likely use this spot to fill out guard depth as they did with the Rajon Rondo trade.

The largest problem with this trade is the fact that they would have to change up the game plan in a large way, potentially harming the fit with other players in the rotation. The likelihood of this trade is low, Brown is an All-Star caliber player and Boston has seemed unwilling to discuss any potential trade involving him so far.
