It really is a credit to the Cleveland Cavaliers team that they have been in virtually every game this season right down to the last minutes. They have taken several teams, like the Milwaukee Bucks the other night or the Phoenix Suns shortly before Thanksgiving, to the very last moments of the game. They’ve also thrown in a recent four-game win streak that has them now at 13-12 on the season.

Cavs fans like myself seem to be going back and forth on just how good this team is. I want to say they are on their way up and headed toward a playoff run, but then I see some of the inexperience and youth pop back into play. We know that winning can be contagious and when that happens everything in the world seems better, but at the same time losses like the recent ones to the Bucks and the Utah Jazz are tough.

You want to take solace in moral victories, but a loss is a loss, and you don’t want these young Cavaliers to lose that spirited energy they seem to be bringing every game. The NBA season is a grind, and it takes patience and an avoidance of long losing streaks.

Hopefully, the Cavs correct their mistakes and get back in the win column against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. It’ll be their first meeting this season. The Bulls are even hotter than the Cavs and stand at 17-8 after an impressive win against the Denver Nuggets on Monday. Cavs big man Lauri Markkanen will get to go up against his former team so that will be interesting to watch.

So, with that, let’s review what was this last week for the Cavaliers as they went 3-2. There were definitely more high marks for this team as they hit the quarter turn of the season.
