Cavs: What would it take to trade for Reddish?

Reddish isn’t going to be cheap and his hot start only increases his value. Lengthy 3-and-D wings are a delicacy nowadays, and those who are young with high offensive potential are basically untouchable so Reddish’s case is a rare occurrence.

The best trade piece for the Cavs right now may be Isaac Okoro when it comes to making an upgrade at the wing position. Coming into the season the biggest thing for Okoro was the potential offensive leap that he would make.

He excelled during the end of his rookie year and Summer League but with the focus shifting to Evan Mobley, Okoro’s role has diminished. The lack of an outside shot and on-ball abilities limits him, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens to his role moving forward.

Add say a top-10 protected first-round pick in this year’s draft and is that enough to pry Cam away? Is it worth it from Cleveland’s end?

On one side, this trade gives the Cavaliers a playable wing alongside the Mobley-Jarrett Allen duo as it seems every other option they’ve tried comes with a huge flaw. Looking at the first-round pick given up, the team has enough youth to work with so it may be better to add a young player with some mileage rather than having to bring another teenager along.

On the other side, does this move make that much sense for the Cavaliers? Though improved, Reddish still has consistency issues. Is a young, promising player and a first-round pick a lot to give up for an unfinished product?

The Cavs also look to be in the same boat as the Hawks, in a way. They gave out sizeable contracts to both Jarrett Allen and Lauri Markkanen. A decision still has to be made on Collin Sexton, Ricky Rubio is on an expiring contract and with his play, another deal may have to be a decent one to retain him. Not to mention, Darius Garland is extension-eligible this upcoming offseason.

Will the team have enough money to add Reddish to this list? Cedi Osman and Kevin Love’s money will be off the books in a couple of seasons so that helps but is this another case of having too many mouths to feed?
