The Cleveland Cavaliers will return much of the same core as last season. While teams like the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls made significant changes, the Cavs preached belief in their young core as they slowly build towards something they hope is great.
That doesn’t mean there were no changes, however. Larry Nance Jr. is now in Portland, while Matthew Dellavedova is in Australia. The back end of the roster was churned up, and there are a number of new faces invited to training camp hoping to impress.
The Cavs have 20 players heading to Training Camp. Who are they?
Each new season the Cavaliers’ organization and their fans have to learn a new set of faces. The turnover is not as intense as college, but teams till through players at a rapid clip as they look for the right mix at the right price. For example, Kevin Love is the only remaining link to the Cavs’ title team, and the team is actively trying to move him as well.
Consider this a roster primer, an introduction to the 20 players who will be in camp this week. You might know all of them already, or perhaps just the biggest names. We will start with those players in contention for the last couple of roster spots.
