Projecting the closure of the first quarter of 2021-22 for the Cavs
Looking at the final five-game stretch of the first quarter of 2021-22 for Cleveland, this brutal run sees them facing off against the Brooklyn Nets twice, the Stephen Curry-led Golden State Warriors, another battle against the Suns, and ends with a home game against the Orlando Magic.
I envision a four-game losing streak against the Nets, Suns, and Warriors and a bounceback win against the Magic at home.
So, in the end, I can see the Cavaliers faring pretty well through the first quarter, starting the upcoming 2021-22 season at 9-11. As stated earlier, the biggest keys to success for this Wine and Gold team start with the guard play of Garland and Sexton and then trickles down to things such as shooting improvements, defense, and health.
It’s up to Cleveland head coach J.B. Bickerstaff to put each player in their best positions to succeed and further drive the “culture” into the team. This team is without a doubt the best one we’ve had in the second post-LeBron James era and is shaping up to have an incredibly bright future.
This season should be a very fun one for the Cavaliers and should have fans of the team pumped for what’s to come.
