Cavs: 3 ways for Cleveland to fill out the remainder of the roster

The Cleveland Cavaliers have their main rotation in place, with the expectation that they will start their young core and fill out the rotation behind them with the veterans on the squad. A quiet free agency period has only solidified that the Cavs are focusing on developing their young players this season.

That doesn’t mean that they won’t go into the season with a full roster. Whether they add young pieces to take a chance on or veterans to mentor the current youngsters, the Cavs will go into next season with something approximating a full roster. They currently have 14 players under contract, but four of those players are on non-guaranteed deals and could be cut at no cost.

To fill out the rest of their roster, the Cavs could move in multiple directions to find players

Leading into the NBA Draft, fans hope for their team to trade around and add as many exciting prospects as possible to fill out the roster. Once free agency hits there are plenty of options to slide into roster spots. During the season there are players “available” for trade to bolster the lineup.
