Takeaway #2 from the Cavs’ Mobley pick: Stretch big qualities

Evan Mobley will be an offensive force for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Outside of Collin Sexton, the Cavs do not really have a certified scorer on the roster.

Mobley would be able to carry the offense in multiple ways. One of those ways is being a stretch big.

With Jarrett Allen on the roster, the Cavs can not afford to put anyone else on the floor that can not shoot well.

Luckily, they have a prospect standing at 7-foot with a jump shot in the #3 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Mobley, as previously mentioned, would be able to keep defenses on their toes with a capable pick-and-pop game, at least in the mid-range game and some from three. Along with this, he is not too far off from being a respectable enough three-point shooter, and with his touch in other areas, that should come.

With so few holes in his game, Mobley will be able to focus plenty of his time on his three-point shot and it is something that could be potentially fixed shortly after he enters the league.

During his college career, Mobley converted twelve of his forty three-point attempts.

This works out to 30 percent which is not the worst from a big man. But, with the three-point line being moved back in the NBA, it is something the Cavs will want to work with him on.
