The 2021 NBA Draft is rapidly approaching here on Thursday night, and the Cleveland Cavaliers are set to pick third, and could very well land a potential superstar there.

It appears that USC big Evan Mobley is the most likely possibility for Cleveland at that spot, although Gonzaga guard Jalen Suggs, and to a lesser extent, Florida State wing Scottie Barnes and G League Ignite wing Jonathan Kuminga could maybe be.

But there is reportedly a “sense” that Cleveland will end up going with Mobley, and with his multi-faceted skill set, which is unicorn-like, I’d be more than on-board with Mobley there.

From there, the Cavaliers are reportedly a club that is interested in acquiring another top 10 pick, and the likes of Collin Sexton and Larry Nance Jr., one would think, could be key trade pieces that could help Cleveland net that.

Nonetheless, I do have my doubts about the Cavs being able to get another top 10 pick, as I’m not sure if they’d include a future protected first-rounder in a deal, and the New Orleans Pelicans no longer hold the #10 pick, regarding a potential suitor. They traded that to the Memphis Grizzlies in part of a package reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Monday.

Perhaps a different deal could come about with the Golden State Warriors or New York Knicks, both of whom have been linked to Sexton, but at #14 for the Warriors and #19/#21 for New York, I’d far rather Cleveland hold on to Sexton.

And either way, the Cavs ending up with Mobley in the 2021 NBA Draft would be a resounding success to me.

From there, the likes of Taurean Prince and Cedi Osman could seemingly be pieces that could be moved before next season, in relation to potential trades, and Nance/Dylan Windler could maybe end up being players involved, if Cleveland were to acquire a wing, in Windler’s case.

To that last point, moving past the draft/looking aside from trades, some free agent wings to consider for Cleveland for this offseason could be rumored potential targets such as Doug McDermott, Reggie Bullock and Josh Hart, if he were to become unrestricted, even more so. A few others could possibly be players such as Alec Burks, Tony Snell and/or Stanley Johnson.

The Cavs will have the roughly $9 million non-taxpayer mid-level exception, and perhaps the likes of McDermott, Bullock and Hart could maybe be had for say, $5-6 million of that?

In that sense, we’ll examine how Bullock, who seems particularly intriguing for Cleveland, could fit in.

Here, we’ll touch on two realistic expectations for Bullock as a potential Cavs signing.

The first is in regards to his shooting/spacing.
