One couldn’t blame the Cavs for taking a chance with Boston

All things considered, if the Cavs were acquire a second late first-round pick, with potential scenarios mentioned earlier, Boston would seem to be a natural target in that realm. I could definitely understand their reasoning there, so in that case, I’d say go for it, too.

And if that makes one of the likes of Cedi Osman, Taurean Prince or Dylan Windler expendable before next season/during next season via trade down the road, so be it.

Obviously, the production in his lone collegiate season wasn’t ideal, however, Boston is a fluid player that if given time to develop, and if he’s brought along gradually, could be a big-time scoring wing. And I think with his mechanics, in the off-ball sense, could have plenty of promise as a movement shooter, too.

Lastly, per a report from Evan Dammarell of Fear The Sword and the Locked on Cavs podcast, Boston, who is represented by Klutch Sports and recently participated in their Pro Day, has “fans in Cleveland.”

So that’s something to factor in as well, as there appears to be some interest from Cleveland in the Kentucky product already.
