The Cleveland Cavaliers should be able to land a difference maker in the 2021 NBA Draft, where they should be able to select Evan Mobley or perhaps Jalen Green #3 overall. Cleveland could seemingly have the likes of Jalen Suggs as an option, also, and though to a lesser degree it appears, maybe the Cavs could go for the two-way upside of Jonathan Kuminga.

KJG’s own Justin Brownlow weighed the potential of a trade down scenario with the Orlando Magic, who have the #5 and #8 pick, where Kuminga could be more in-play it seems, for what it’s worth.

But as Brownlow himself stated, it’s probably more viable for Cleveland to end up just going with the #3 pick, even while he is not sold on Mobley with the Cavaliers, as he stated in a different article highlighting Suggs’ potential fit with Darius Garland.

In any case, what’s apparent to me is that the Cavs should be in good shape at #3, in the event they ended up selecting there. I would expect that to likely play out, anyhow.

Aside from the draft though, and/or near/during that even, it’s recently been reported that Collin Sexton, given that he could hit restricted free agency next offseason and is seemingly likely to seek a max rookie contract extension, is “very available” via trade.

It is another thing for him to actually be dealt ultimately though, as Sexton is a player that’s fresh off having 24.3 points per outing, and has shown growth as a secondary playmaker. We’ll have to see; you can view more on rumors at the above link, either way.

Perhaps Cleveland could end up look into moving the likes of Kevin Love, Cedi Osman and/or Taurean Prince this offseason, too, given Love’s situation/constant rumors, and with Osman and Prince previously having been mentioned in trade rumors near the past deadline.

Nonetheless, aside from the draft/potential trades, the Cavs would appear to be able to a add a solid piece or a few meaningful ones via the roughly $9 million non-taxpayer mid-level exception this offseason, too.

Potential players such as T.J. McConnell, Patty Mills, Alex Caruso and/or possibly via lower-cost deal, Frank Ntilikina, assuming he becomes unrestricted, could be backup point guard targets. From there, wings such as Doug McDermott, Reggie Bullock and/or Josh Hart, who could be a restricted free agent but reportedly wants to a “fresh start” and is close with Larry Nance Jr., could be sensible for Cleveland.

So while I’d be a fan of any of those targets, here, we’ll take a closer look at Bullock in this case, who could seemingly be available for some of that MLE. Based off comments from Danny Leroux of The Athletic (subscription required) in a piece with with colleague and Cavs reporter Kelsey Russo, it appears that Bullock could be had for an offer for maybe multiple years at $4-5 million of the MLE, perhaps.

So with that in mind, how could Bullock help the Cavs?

Here, we’ll touch on two key sellers for him as a Cavaliers 2021 NBA Free Agency target.
