This would rejuvenate the Cavs franchise and their basketball community

After the monumental moment in late June of 2016, when the Cavaliers won the NBA title after coming back from a 3-1 deficit over Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors, the lasting thrill of victory has gradually subsided over the course of time.

We are currently struggling in a time for the Cavaliers, where everyone is trying to figure out what exactly the franchise has to do to get better. This team has been hovering in the realm of the league’s basement for three seasons now.

Jumping up to the #1 spot and drafting Cunningham in the 2021 NBA Draft, who would help the Cavaliers in a number of ways, would boost the team, the local community, and all Cavs fans around the world. Fans would certainly fill Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse again like they did when LeBron James was here.

Plus, local businesses would again benefit from the nightly crowds that would attend games. Fan enthusiasm would again skyrocket thanks to this kind of potential move by the Wine and Gold! I for one would be looking to buy my “Cunningham” game jersey. There would be excitement in “The Land” and that’s always good for the soul, as many are so well aware of.
