#3: Green would be a positive presence off the floor that’d mesh well into the culture the Cavs are building

The final way that Green would impact the Cleveland Cavaliers if he is drafted to the team comes from off of the court and intangible reasons. There are a handful of things that Green has that would be a huge positive impact for the Cavs.

The first is that he is said to have an extremely fierce work ethic and competitive spirit. If you can put someone with that mindset alongside a player like Sexton, it would be incredible to see how far the two could push each other, and the Cavaliers could only benefit.

Also, with Green being one of the best players in his draft class, it would give the Cavaliers their first true franchise player since LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. If he is able to live up to the lofty but obtainable expectations set for him, he could propel Cleveland’s young roster to be one of the most promising teams of the future.

The final off of the court or intangible impact that Green will have on the Cavaliers is his locker room presence and maturity. With the Cavs being a rebuilding team, it is likely that they will be trying to move on from their older and aging veterans sooner rather than later, albeit not in relation to Larry Nance Jr. it seems, who is a budding leader.

In Green’s case, again, though, he has already proven his maturity by playing in the G-League at only 18 years old. Being able to set the right example, even with grown men around at such a young age and reportedly having no locker room issues is something that Cavs fans should be excited about.

He could easily be Cleveland’s franchise player and grow into being the leader of the team for years to come, albeit that could be in due time, and Sexton could help a great deal.
