These could help the Cavs interior threats, too

Again, in the pick-and-roll game, with Darius Garland, and with Collin Sexton, those will continue to lead to pull-ups and floaters on-ball for those two, and with Garland, especially, as a passer, we’ll see the lob passes to Allen. With Drummond somewhat, I’d expect there to still be some pocket passes generating interior looks for him as a roller, too, though not nearly as much.

But if the Cavaliers get pick-and-pops going more, if helpers/rotators start to anticipate those looks, it could lead to natural hesitation fakes to counter from Garland/others on-ball, and could lead to easier drives.

To go with that, though, the lobs/dump-off feeds to Allen, whose had 12.7 points per outing with Cleveland, or Drummond on the weak side could come if those pick-and-pops draw rotators/helpers more from the corners/on the opposite wing.

And that could again lead to simple feeds for Garland/Osman/Sexton or Dotson, in turn, generating easy interior looks/dunks or free throw attempts.

Anyhow, to reiterate, it’d be meaningful throughout games if the Cavs got pick-and-pops going more, as that’d very well lead to more in-rhythm three-point attempts/catch-and-shoots for their settled offense and could lead to natural counters, then incorporating their bigs in the process, too.

Hopefully we see that sort of thing to get more productive man/ball movement involved for the Cavs, who need to find ways to do so with them amid such a difficult portion of games to come.
