Cavs: Collin Sexton just turned 22, and that’s got to be frightening for opponents

The sky is the limit for Sexton as a scorer for the Cavs
What Sexton has already proven to be as a scorer, and one that’s truly become a three-level one, has me thinking that the sky is the limit for him in that realm. Thus far this season, Sexton has also placed in the 70th percentile in pick-and-roll scoring, per Synergy Sports.
And his combination of raw speed, quickness, change of speeds, improved touch and strength have made him such a dangerous transition player, too.
Lastly, his growth off the ball, via catch-and-shoots and as a cutter have made him more well-rounded as a bucket-getter, and should only make him more viable alongside Garland, Kevin Love (when he’s back) and others.
One can only imagine how terrific Sexton will be as an all-around scorer when he’s 25 or 26, as I’m sure Cavaliers opponents aren’t looking forward to seeing.
And this acknowledgement from ESPN Stats & Info showed how Sexton joined elite company in Cavs history after the Atlanta W, too; Cleveland’s Monday outing was a loss to the Orlando Magic, though. But this tweet was following a contest in which he had 27 points, including 13 points in the fourth quarter, too.
Additionally, however, while it doesn’t get the pub his scoring outputs have, it’s been encouraging to have seen Sexton, dating back to the last two or so months of last season, really, take strides as a passer/ball-mover and defender.
