Bold prediction #2 for Nance for the Cleveland Cavaliers: He will have a career-high in assists per game

The second bold prediction I have for Nance has again to do with his playmaking ability.

Nance is similar to Kevin Love in that for a big, he has great feel for hitting his teammates and making the extra pass from making a good shot often into an even better shot attempt when he’s on the floor.

The second bold prediction for Nance for 2020-21 from me would be him having a career-high in assists per game.

That would mean Nance would be averaging 3.3 assists per outing next season, which may seem extremely bold, but factoring in KPJ, who showed very good feel as a passer as a rookie, Garland, Love to some degree and Dylan Windler, that’d be noteworthy.

I personally see KPJ as being one of Cleveland’s best playmakers heading into next season, and Nance himself should benefit to a large degree from that.

Also, though Windler did not play in 2019-20 due to complications regarding a stress reaction in his left leg, I’d imagine he’ll be good to go next season, at least mostly. He has good secondary playmaking feel, too, and his handle should help open up playmaking opportunities.

With those other aforementioned pieces involved, too, that’d make this bold for Nance.

I’d think there’s a good possibility that Matthew Dellavedova, who led Cleveland with 5.5 assists per game post-All-Star break, could be re-signed, too, and that’d factor in here, too.

Granted, Nance did average 3.2 assists per outing in his last 15 games active in 2019-20, per NBA.com, so perhaps this suggested bold prediction can hold true.

Again, though, that’d be tough with KPJ and Windler, in particular, likely having their share of playmaking opportunities often on the floor with Nance.

Next. Kevin Porter Jr. should get time at three positions in 2020-21. dark

Regardless, Nance’s vision and feel as a passing big will always help out the Cleveland Cavaliers when he’s on the floor, and in getting the movement going.
