Looking ahead to the 2020-21 campaign, here, we’ll take a look at three potential lineups the Cleveland Cavaliers could utilize throughout games.
With the 2019-20 NBA season still up in the air due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, there obviously is nothing new to discuss with the Cleveland Cavaliers this season. However, we can look ahead to next season and break down what could happen with the Cavaliers.
Here, we will look at three potential lineups the Cavaliers could use next season. Obviously, the 2020 NBA Draft and free agency have not taken place yet, so there will undoubtedly be changes to the Cavaliers roster before next season (whenever that ultimately turns out to be).
While nothing is certain in today’s NBA, it is safe to bet at this time players such as Collin Sexton, Darius Garland, Kevin Porter Jr., Larry Nance Jr., Cedi Osman and Dylan Windler will all be on the team. Those pieces should be getting plenty of meaningful minutes.
Kevin Love is an interesting topic because there have been quite a few trade rumors involving Love over the years, and there could be a chance he is gone before next season. Love is still held in very high regard by the Cavs, though, and according to Cleveland.com’s Chris Fedor, Love is still a “valuable piece” for Cleveland.
Andre Drummond, though he could be expiring, is likely to pick up his $28.8 million player option for next season, per Fedor, so he’ll probably he around still, too.
So, the three lineups that will be used here are a combination of existing players and potential 2020 NBA Draft selections for the Wine and Gold.
