While this may not seem like much to many, having two guards who are available night in and night out that you consider your top guards on the roster is huge.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have played in 65 games this year, with Garland appearing in 59 of them, while Sexton has yet to miss a game in his young career. That’s truly something in itself from the Young Bull, who is as competitive as they come, too.

Remember, Garland only played in five total college games at Vanderbilt due to a meniscus tear, so coming from barely any time on the court in college to having to adjust to a brutal 82-game schedule for rookies with tons of travel is not easy whatsoever. Garland had missed a five-game stretch leading into the NBA hiatus due to a left groin strain, but he’s been mostly healthy, which has been encouraging.

Having him and Sexton available practically night in and night out will be a big part of this rebuild in the future for the Wine and Gold.
