With Sunday being Mother’s Day, it’s been terrific to see players on the Cleveland Cavaliers express their appreciation for all the moms out there.
Words can’t truly describe just how much our mom’s mean to us, and that’s evident. With Sunday being Mother’s Day, it’s been terrific to see players on the Cleveland Cavaliers show their appreciation to all the moms out there, too.
Of course, times are tough in relation to the novel coronavirus pandemic that’s had such a profound impact all over, but in a way, it just highlights how much our moms always do for us.
That really can’t be overstated, either.
Moreover, Cavs players such as Matthew Dellavedova and Collin Sexton sent out some awesome shout-outs to moms in their lives and wished all the moms out there a happy Mother’s Day.
That was again, great to see. Dellavedova showed love fittingly to his wife, Anna, and hit on he what she does for him and his son, Anders, is invaluable on an Instagram post. Well-said, Delly!

Collin Sexton, who has led the Cleveland Cavaliers in scoring virtually all season with 20.8 points per game at this time with the season on hiatus (of which it’s unclear if the season will resume at some point yet), showed love to his mom, Gia, and wished all the moms out there a happy Mother’s Day as well.
Good on you, Bull!

This bit of the lengths Tristan Thompson‘s mother, Andrea, went to go to get him to a tournament growing up was really something to else to hear in a clip from an interview with UNINTERRUPTED.

This was outstanding from UNINTERRUPTED to highlight on Sunday, and hats off to her!
I’m sure TT, who has put up a career-best 12.0 points and 2.1 assists, to go with nearly a career-best 10.1 rebounds per game this season, per Basketball Reference, has made his mother proud, too.
More from King James Gospel
- 3 possible starting lineups for Cleveland Cavaliers in 2023-24
- The Cavaliers may have snagged a hidden gem in Craig Porter Jr.
- 4 players the Cavaliers should pursue in 2024 free agency
- 6 players Cavaliers might replace Jarrett Allen with by the trade deadline
- This stat is one to keep an eye on for Cavaliers’ Max Strus in years ahead
Thompson, though he is expiring and could seemingly be playing elsewhere next season, likely has gotten some of his leadership qualities from Andrea, too, based on that bit from the aforementioned interview.
One can’t help but be inspired from that video featuring Thompson’s mom, anyhow.
Along with those players, and we’ll likely see more and more love shown from others, it was terrific to see the Cleveland Cavaliers and/or their youth programs demonstrate their appreciation for the efforts of their Youth Sports moms.
The Cavs PowerHouse Dance Team gave a thoughtful shoutout, too.
Ya love to see it.

As Delly, Sexton and Thompson essentially touched on, it’s abundantly clear that the mothers in our lives have and always will be such a key source of motivation for all of us, and we’re all ever-grateful for them.
It was really nice to see those players express their love for the moms in their lives, and great to see the Cavs Youth Sports moms and the Cavs PowerHouse Dance Team moms receive shout-outs.
From all of us here at KJG, happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. Words really don’t do what you all do for us justice, and to everyone, stay safe.
