The 2019-20 NBA season is on hiatus until further notice for the Cleveland Cavaliers and other teams, and considering that, it seemed relevant to revisit my 2019-20 statistics predictions for Cedi Osman, Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson.

The novel coronavirus pandemic has affected so many people around the world, and the current 2019-20 NBA season has been suspended for the Cleveland Cavaliers and other teams until further notice in relation to wanting to limit the spread of the pandemic.

What was nice to see from a Wine and Gold perspective, though, was the post-All-Star break play leading up to the season’s suspension.

While teams often do play better in the short term following a mid-season head coaching change, which was the case with J.B. Bickerstaff taking the reigns for John Beilein, who stepped down and has since been re-assigned to an unspecified role within the organization, Cleveland was playing much better.

With Bickerstaff in the head coaching role, the Cavaliers, who have just a 19-46 record in 2019-20 at the moment with the league suspended, were 5-6.

Their net rating was a more respectable minus-3.2 as well, and the Wine and Gold had the NBA’s sixth-best assist rate in that span, according to NBA.com.

With the season currently suspended and it being uncertain if the year will eventually be played out, though, I recently revisited my statistics predictions for Darius Garland and Collin Sexton, where I had some hits and misses for both.

Considering that I reviewed my 2019-20 stats predictions for those two, I figured I’d look back at my stats predictions for this season for Cedi Osman, Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson. Thompson, though he wasn’t starting when trade deadline addition Andre Drummond was full-go after the deadline, had been a regular starter for Cleveland before that point, and it’s feasible to include him with the other starters during the majority of Cleveland’s games in 2019-20 thus far.

Alrighty, so we’ll revisit my stats predictions for Osman for this season first, followed by Love’s, then Thompson’s.
