Post-All-Star break goal #1 for Drummond: Win the double-double title

As you can probably see from watching him throughout the years, Drummond is going to do big-time work on the glass.

Barring injury, I see him once again winning the league rebounding title. In his first two games with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he’s combined for a total of 29 boards.

In both contests, though I know the Clippers’ game was a blowout loss, Drummond has done his part.

The former Piston is a low post presence that is much-improved in terms of his touch in the paint, and his rolling/screening ability on hand-offs should carve out space for Kevin Love, Darius Garland, Collin Sexton, Cedi Osman and others.

The big man is more than capable of dishing it out when defenses collapse down on him as well, although he will turn it over, as evidenced by his 3.6 giveaways per game compared to 2.8 assists per outing in 2019-20.

That being said, Drummond currently leads the NBA with 44 double-doubles on the year, according to Fox Sports, and if he goes on to take home that title, it would demonstrate that he’s feasting on the glass night-in and night-out while also putting consistent pressure on opposing bigs near the rim.

Basically, if Drummond keeps doing what he does best on the glass, and keeps playing big offensively, the Cavaliers should be much more competitive post-All-Star break.
