The Cleveland Cavaliers play host to the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday. Here’s a few players to watch in that one.

The Cleveland Cavaliers had a really rough November, as they went just 3-12. At this juncture, Cleveland is only 5-14 in the 2019-20 season.

The schedule has been brutal over the last few weeks, and though the next team Cleveland plays, the Detroit Pistons, are just 7-13, they are another difficult matchup for the Cavs.

The two Central Division foes play for the first time this season on Tuesday.

As is no surprise, Detroit’s 4-5 combination of Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond will make their presence felt in this matchup.

Granted, Griffin’s playing time this season (he’s been active in just eight games) has been very limited due to him reportedly needing to receive treatment for his left hamstring and him reportedly having posterior knee soreness, but in the last six games, Blake’s played an average of 29.7 minutes per game, according to NBA.com.

I’d expect him to play over half the game on Tuesday, and considering he leads Detroit in scoring with 18.5 points per contest and is always a tough matchup in the post due to his polish and passing ability, along with terrific handle for a big, the Cavaliers still need to commit all their eyes to him.

Along with that, Drummond leads the NBA in rebounding with 17.1 boards per contest, as indicated by NBA.com.

Hopefully, Kevin Love can make plays consistently throughout this one for the Cavs, and do his part on the glass along with Tristan Thompson to cancel out Griffin and Drummond, to a large degree.

So who are a few players to watch in this first 2019-20 matchup between the Cavaliers and Pistons on Tuesday?

We’ll get into that now.
