The Cleveland Cavaliers will play the Miami Heat for the second time in the 2019-20 season on Wednesday, with this time being in South Beach. We’ll hit on a few players to watch in that one.

At this point, the Cleveland Cavaliers are starting to get into a rough stretch in their schedule. Currently, Cleveland is 4-9 in the 2019-20 season, and unfortunately, we’re starting to see the squad getting overmatched for some long stretches, and even games as a whole.

Cleveland is a team that’s playing a bunch of young pieces a considerable minutes-share, and it’s to be expected that the Cavs are going to be picking highly in the 2020 NBA Draft, anyway. Taking that into account, them losing four straight is no big shock.

Cleveland got shellacked by the New York Knicks on Monday, in which they were without star big Kevin Love, who was reportedly dealing with much more back stiffness than he would’ve anticipated. To go with that, reserve big Larry Nance Jr. has missed the last two games, due to him reportedly re-injuring his thumb.

Cleveland conceded 19 offensive rebounds to bruiser Julius Randle and the Knicks on the road, and they were beaten up in the painted area by the Philadelphia 76ers and Joel Embiid on Sunday, too.

Thursday was not pretty either, as the Miami Heat controlled the game for the most part, and smothered Cleveland with their sticky defense, in what was a 108-97 home loss for the Cavs.

Next up for the Cleveland Cavaliers on their schedule is a second 2019-20 meeting with star wing Jimmy Butler and the Heat, with this time being in South Beach on Wednesday. In that one, along with many others coming up, the Cavs are going to have their work cut out for them.

So who is one of three players to really watch in that one?

We’ll get into that now.
