The Cleveland Cavaliers have gotten off to a nice start to begin the 2019-20 season, and there are three key staples in their wins that are taking shape.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are playing pretty well under the guidance of head coach John Beilein and Cleveland’s coaching staff.

The Cavaliers being 4-5 at this point is probably better than most fans would’ve expected, and the team is fresh off two road victories over the Washington Wizards and most recently, the New York Knicks on Sunday.

The Wizards and Knicks are undoubtedly two of the NBA’s worst teams, but it’s still been good to see the Cavs have control of those games mostly for the whole time in both games.

Washington did eventually cut Cleveland’s lead to two in the fourth quarter, but the Cavs rebounded in that one, and did eventually claw out a 113-100 win, and in that one, rookie guard Darius Garland had his best career game, and it’s clear that performance looks to have been a springboard for him really getting going.

Garland had 12 points and six assists and was a plus-26, as ESPN demonstrated, in Cleveland’s last game in a 108-87 win over the Knicks.

Anyhow, in Cleveland’s last two games, they led wire-to-wire, and it was the first time that happened for them since 2010, as referenced by Fox Sports Ohio.

Moreover, the Cavs are playing the right way in the majority of time throughout games by utilizing player and ball movement often in their offense, and veteran bigs Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson have been outstanding.

At this point, there’s been three key staples in Cleveland’s wins in 2019-20. We’ll get into those now.
