#4 pick – Cole Anthony, North Carolina, PG

Cole Anthony is the son of former NBA point guard Greg Anthony. He was a very highly touted prospect according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings and he will be attending the University of North Carolina for his freshman season.

This would be an interesting selection by the Cavaliers if they were to land the fourth pick in the draft lottery, seeing as how they used the number eight pick on Sexton in 2017 and the number five pick on Garland in 2018, both of whom are point guards.

However, Anthony would be the best talent on the board with this selection, and Sexton or Garland would likely be trade bait that the Cavs could grab a mid-to-late first-round pick with.

Anthony is a hyper-athletic lead guard who can light up the scoreboard, quickly. He has very good size for the point guard position, standing at 6’3” but doesn’t have great length.

He is a player that plays the game the way a lead guard should and he will make his teammates better.

Anthony has so much talent that he will have the chance to improve his already enormously high draft stock while he is on the national stage with the Tar Heels.

The fit with the Cavaliers would be questionable, even if they move one of Sexton or Garland. Anthony is a player who has very minimal experience playing off of the ball.
