Cleveland Cavaliers: Where Darius Garland ranks against other starting PGs
15. Patrick Beverley – Los Angeles Clippers
Patrick Beverley is the best defensive point guard in the NBA. His motor is on high-rev from the opening tip to the final horn. In addition to Beverley, Paul George, and Kawhi Leonard give the Clippers a chance to be the best defensive team in the NBA.
He is not going to give you a ton in the form of offensive stats but he will be a net positive thanks to his incredible defensive ability.
For his career, he has per-game averages of just 9.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per Basketball-Reference.
14. Malcolm Brogdon – Indiana Pacers
Perhaps the most under-the-radar signing of the summer, Malcolm Brogdon fills out a very good starting lineup for the Indiana Pacers.
If backcourt mate Victor Oladipo comes back 100% from injury, the Pacers can make some noise in the Eastern Conference.
Brogdon has been used as a sixth man for the majority of his career so his per-game averages may not stack up to the rest of the top 15. He has averaged 12.8 points, 3.6 assists, and 3.5 rebounds for his career per Basketball-Reference.
13. Eric Bledsoe – Milwaukee Bucks
Eric Bledsoe came into the NBA as a raw, athletic freak. He earned the nickname “mini-LeBron” due to his freakish athleticism.
He has progressed throughout his career into a very good player and was named to the NBA All-Defensive first-team last season. He was and is also a key component on an extremely talented Milwaukee Bucks team that won over 60 games last year.
Bledsoe has averaged 14.1 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game over 570 career games per Basketball-Reference.
