18. Jeff Teague – Minnesota Timberwolves

Jeff Teague will no longer have to share minutes with Derrick Rose as he is off to Detroit. The only other point guard currently listed on the Minnesota Timberwolves roster is Shabazz Napier.

Teague is going to get a ton of minutes every night and he should come back to his Atlanta Hawks All-Star form. The Timberwolves will be relying heavily on him if they want to make it back to the playoffs as he will likely be their third option offensively.

For his career, Teague has per-game averages of 12.7 points, 5.8 assists, and 2.5 rebounds per Basketball-Reference.

17. Goran Dragic – Miami Heat

The injury bug is starting to catch up to Goran Dragic. He is 33-years old and has lost some of his quickness, but he is still a very capable player.

The Miami Heat added Jimmy Butler this offseason and look primed to make a playoff push in the Eastern Conference. Dragic can be instrumental in the growth of budding big man Bam Adebayo.

Dragic sports career per-game averages of 13.7 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per Basketball-Reference. That being said, Justise Winslow brought quite a wrinkle last season when he manned the point guard role, and the Heat could go back with him as the starter, even with Dragic expiring after the 2019-20 season.

Nonetheless, Dragic can still produce.

16. Lonzo Ball – New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans made the absolute best of a terrible situation concerning Anthony Davis. The package they received in return for him was fantastic and included projected starting point guard Lonzo Ball.

Jrue Holiday will play a lot of point guard but will likely be listed as the teams starting shooting guard.

Ball is an excellent on-ball defender, rebounder, and passer, but he is a woeful shooter. If he improves on his shooting, he can jump to the top 10 of NBA point guards.

In 99 career games, Ball has per-game averages of 10.0 points, 6.4 assists, and 6.2 rebounds per Basketball-Reference.
