27. Terry Rozier – Charlotte Hornets

Terry Rozier is finally getting his shot at a starting point guard position after being stuck behind Isaiah Thomas and Kyrie Irving in Boston.

While Rozier had some very good stretches two years ago when Irving went down with a knee injury, he was shut down in the playoffs once teams figured out how to defend him.

He can prove these rankings wrong with a big year for a Charlotte team that should be one of the worst in the NBA. For his career, per Basketball-Reference, he has per-game averages of 7.7 points and 2.3 assists.

26. Delon Wright – Dallas Mavericks

A defensive maestro, Delon Wright has a chance to be a very solid addition to the Dallas Mavericks in their pursuit of a playoff spot.

After he was traded last season by the Toronto Raptors to the Memphis Grizzlies, Wright was fantastic. in 26 games with the Grizzlies Wright averaged 12.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.3 assists (per Basketball-Reference).

He would be higher on this list, but his first 172 games of his career can’t be forgotten where he averaged 6.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game (Basketball-Reference).

25. Darius Garland – Cleveland Cavaliers

It’s very difficult to rank a rookie point guard higher than this before they ever play a game in the NBA. Darius Garland has a chance to vault up this list with a good rookie season, he has all of the tools to be great.

There is also very little college film to go off to justify ranking Garland higher than 25th. He played in just five games with the Vanderbilt Commodores due to a torn meniscus.

The questionable fit with fellow guard Collin Sexton could also impact his output this season.
