The 2019-20 season for the Cleveland Cavaliers is still a bit away, but with the 2019 FIBA World Cup on the horizon, the KJG team decided to hit on that, some potential Wall of Honor candidates and more on the Cavaliers’ outlook for next year.

There is still some time between now and the beginning of the 2019-20 NBA season, but training camps are set to begin near the end of next month for teams and in our case, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the regular season will be a short time away then, as the Cavs begin their upcoming season at the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, Oct. 23.

For now, though, NBA fans can at least enjoy some international action for the next few weeks with the 2019 FIBA World Cup taking place in China, which should be entertaining to watch.

The U.S. team are still overwhelming favorites to win, but they recently were defeated by a well-experienced Australian national squad, of which Cavs guard Matthew Dellavedova is a key contributor on both ends, and the KJG team discussed some potential challengers for the U.S. (which is not nearly as talented as it usually is as compared to prior years) in relation to that tournament, which will be going on through September 15.

Swinging back to the conversation surrounding the Cavaliers, the KJG team also looked at potential candidates for Cleveland’s Wall of Honor, which is set to be put up in the will-be newly-renovated Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse this season, per a team announcement, and will be involved with recognizing former individuals that were outstanding contributors for the Cavs in their time with the organization.

From there, we also looked at players that project as key pieces for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the coaching staff, led by head coach John Beilein, in 2019-20, both overall and in primarily a bench role.

Alright, so let’s get to it!
