Coby White

Coby White fell into the perfect situation to begin his NBA career with the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls are a young up-and-coming team that has all of the pieces that fit White’s biggest strength, speed. They could be a team that plays with the fastest tempo in the league.

White also has a lot of Gilbert Arenas in his game coming out of college. He is fast, he handles the ball well, and he is a mid-range marksman. The Bulls can only hope he lives up to that comparison.

White also doesn’t have a lot of competition at the point guard spot. While Kris Dunn is a solid lead guard, White should be able to step in from day one and be the primary decision-maker in the Bulls offense.

The Bulls have a very good shot at making the playoffs this season with the combination of young talent and the veteran leadership they have. It will take young players like Wendell Carter Jr. and Lauri Markkanen taking the next jump in their development as well as Zach LaVineOtto Porter Jr., and Thaddeus Young providing the leadership to get them over the hump.

If White can have a similar impact on the game as he had at the University of North Carolina, in addition to the Bulls taking a leap next season, he could be in line for the NBA Rookie of the Year award.
