#1: All four games vs. the Chicago Bulls

The key here to likely all of the four games against the Chicago Bulls is the Garland-Coby White comparisons in-game; they were the second and third lead guards taken in this year’s draft, as I’m assuming White mostly ends up playing lead guard for Chicago.

I’m not sure how much Garland will be guarding White, and vice-versa, but I would think that’s at least a fair amount of the time, and it’ll be make for must-see television. Both White and Garland can really get it and go and will likely establish themselves as players that be microwave scorers off-the-bounce, and will have their share of huge games from the perimeter and should be able to light it up in the pick-and-roll in their rookie years.

With these two playing in the same division, that could be an emerging rivalry to watch in coming years.

It could also be really interesting to see if Zach LaVine, who is fresh off a career year with 23.7 points on 57.4% true shooting, 4.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game (per NBA.com) can continue on his path to potential stardom for the Bulls in his second full season with them as the team’s perhaps franchise centerpiece, and the 24-year-old will probably put up huge numbers against the Cavaliers.

Maybe Porter can slow him down a bit?

At the other end, though, I could see Windler, Porter, Osman and Delly filling it up some the perimeter against the Bulls.

In terms of bigs, Chicago veteran free agent signing Thaddeus Young has always hurt Cleveland, as even when the Cavs beat Young’s prior team, the Indiana Pacers, in consecutive years in the postseason, Young was always active on both ends of the floor as an interior scorer and quality defender, and even against the considerably bigger Love.

I’d expect those two to go at it a bunch in these matchups, and/or Love and budding Chicago star Lauri Markkannen, if those two are reasonably healthy, which is a question mark, I’ll add.

It’ll be also intriguing to see the bench roller matchup between Nance (and I would think, eventually Zizic) and Wendell Carter Jr. and Bulls second-round pick Daniel Gafford, who could both be key rim protectors and interior offensive presences for Chicago for a long time.

For now, I’ll say this ends up being a 2-2 split between the Cavaliers and Bulls in 2019-20.

So what matchups stand out to you as being the most intriguing in the 2019-20 season, Cavs fans?
