2019 NBA Draft prospect Jarrett Culver could be a seamless fit with Cavs
Culver could be a key young piece like Sexton/Osman
Even looking at the potential trio of Culver, Sexton, and Osman, these are three young players who would be the main pieces of this rebuild for Cleveland.

Along with that, Osman and Culver have the ability to play either the two or three.
Though Culver would be walking into the team as a top-five pick, new head coach John Beilein should not feel the need to throw too much at the rookie.
Last year Sexton came along slowly toward the start of the season, but post-All-Star break truly hit his stride and closed on quite the tear, as we’ve often detailed here at KJG.
I’d look for Culver to follow that same mold.
He will go through some growing pains early (as all young players do) but under Beilein, I would expect Culver’s game to grow.
From the jump, Culver will show off his defensive skill set, and since he is not needed to be the team’s top offensive threat, that could give him the ability to settle into a rhythm on offense.
This would benefit the young wing instead of being asked to go out there night in and night out and score 15-20.0 points per game like several rookies in the past, and realistically, this past year for Sexton (who had 16.7 points per game and had a really high usage rate of 24.5%, per NBA.com).
The Cleveland Cavaliers are still seemingly sifting through their options for the 2019 NBA Draft, including potentially trading up or down as we’ve often highlighted, but from the looks of it, Culver is surely rumored to be in the mix at number five as of now, and he should be.
Though I just want Cleveland general manager Koby Altman and company to take who they believe is the best available player ultimately, Culver is slowly becoming my personal favorite in this draft if he’s available for the Cavaliers, as he seems to possess many of the traits the Wine and Gold need moving forward.
