#3: Do you think the Cavs should make a trade or trades on 2019 draft night, or should they wait until next season/the 2020 trade deadline?

Mooneyham:

If the opportunity is one the Cavaliers cannot pass up, they should capitalize on it. I’d imagine that Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson will draw a lot of interest and another first-rounder or two to me makes more sense than holding on to an aging Love or a soon-to-be free agent in Thompson.

Friedman:

At this time it is hard to say. If there are good deals that could land the Cleveland Cavaliers valuable future assets, then by all means, they should take them.

The sooner they can acquire young talent, the better. The Cavs should be all ears at this point looking for ways to better the team.

Grey:

The Cavaliers should absolutely make trades on draft night.

It might be their final chance to trade Kevin Love before his contract becomes the second-most untradeable behind the Washington Wizards’ John Wall.

He’s going to be making over $28 million for each of the next four years, and while in his 30’s (according to Spotrac).

I understood why the Cavs signed him to that contract but with his injury history, it can really haunt this team for the coming years.

They should try to get some more draft picks on draft night if they can when potentially dealing Love.

DiPaola:

I think the Cavaliers will explore all options, again I think it depends on where their draft pick falls after the lottery. This would be quite the draft to have two picks in the lottery, and the Cavaliers have done a solid job at acquiring assets.

I would personally like to see the Cavs try to acquire another lottery pick, as this seems like a deep draft and the Wine & Gold could benefit from having multiple lottery picks.
