2. Jordan Clarkson

It may be safe to say that not many Cleveland Cavaliers have improved more than Jordan Clarkson. In his fifth NBA season, Clarkson is finally starting to piece it all together.

After being acquired at the NBA Trade Deadline last February, it was a rather disappointing end to Clarkson’s season when he bottomed out in terms of production during the playoffs. He looked lost on the court and sent some concerns throughout the organization and fanbase, considering he was one of the main acquisitions dealt for at the time. Him being on the books for two more seasons surely didn’t help settle any stomachs in Northeast Ohio.

But in a sixth-man role this season, Clarkson has shined. He leads the team in scoring with 16.8 points per game and has opened up the ways he can finish with a bucket. His attention to detail on taking what the defense gives him has been huge for his learning curve and has opened up his eyes for the passing lanes more.

Sure, is his 2.4 assists a lot in the grand scheme of things? No. But it’s a start and could help provide the boost Clarkson needs in other areas.

It makes no sense to take away any of Clarkson’s time that he currently garners with Cleveland. So for that sole reason, I’ll keep him at the second-highest priority until his production sends an alarm that it isn’t working anymore for him.
