Alec Burks and Rodney Hood were welcomed back nicely.

This was the first time either Alec Burks or Rodney Hood traveled back to Utah since being traded. The Jazz went out of their way to welcome back both players nicely with video tributes and nice ovations at player introductions. I would think both players had to be very appreciative of that sort of sentiment from the team that drafted them.

Unfortunately, neither player was able to have the memorable return they would’ve liked to have. Burks tried to find a rhythm, but he couldn’t get anything to fall as he ended the night with just six points on three-of-11 shooting, per ESPN. Hood struggled to find a rhythm, too, as he finished with four points on one-of-six shooting.

One would have to believe that with Utah’s familiarity with both of those players, it was really tough for either to really get going in a big way, especially with them drawing so much attention right now with how depleted Cleveland is and the lack of continuity making things difficult.

Burks and Hood are the Cavs’ best players with all of the injuries, and things can get out of hand quickly when they’re both off their game like they were on Friday.
