Collin Sexton is a man of his word

Collin Sexton and Jaron Blossomgame had a friendly wager on whose school would win the championship on Monday night, per Fox Sports Ohio (and as our own Eli Mooneyham noted). Much to the delight of college football fans everywhere, it was Sexton’s Alabama Crimson Tide that came up on the losing end. The rookie made good on his bet by coming to Tuesday’s game in full Clemson gear.

Blossomgame wouldn’t even let Sexton start his postgame interview without slipping on the Clemson jacket first.

Off-court bets aside, Sexton put together a solid night on the floor. He did a great job of being aggressive on offense while still taking what the defense was giving him. Sexton appears to be slowly learning how to set up and initiate the offense without just running high pick-and-rolls with Thompson.

The rookie finished with 14 points on five-of-eight shooting with four assists, per ESPN.

December was a tough month for Sexton but he seems to be slowly bouncing back. Hopefully, the rookie can build off of his last couple performances as the Cavs head out for their aforementioned road trip.

The Cavs will be back in action Wednesday night as they travel to New Orleans to take on the Pelicans.
