Jaron Blossomgame-Collin Sexton bet shows Cavs’ relationship growth
The 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship Game took place Monday night, with the Clemson Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide facing off for the fourth time in as many years. Two Cleveland Cavaliers teammates had a bit more of a reason to watch the game intensely, with a friendly bet on the line.
Those two Cleveland Cavaliers are Jaron Blossomgame and Collin Sexton, who both had a dog in the race on Monday. Blossomgame, a Clemson alumnus, made a wager with Alabama’s Sexton regarding who would win the showdown.
The wager? Fifty “any time” push-ups and wearing some sort of apparel supporting the other’s college squad for a week’s worth of time.

Clemson took it to Alabama with a 44-16 stomping led by true freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence and outstanding wide receiver Justyn Ross.
The game was a fourteen-point deficit at halftime but the Crimson Tide couldn’t even muster up some sort of offense in the second half, as Alabama head coach Nick Saban and company were held scoreless in a shocking turn of events.
Nobody is used to seeing Alabama get beaten like that on the big stage.
It was the Tide’s worst loss under Saban, a 28-point thumping. Without a doubt, Sexton picked the worst time to bet on his alma mater’s machine-like football program.
While mum was the word from Sexton on social media, Blossomgame made sure to boast knowing that he would get to see the rookie rocking that Tigers’ orange throughout the next week.

Maybe this will fuel Sexton to break out of his shooting slump that he’s currently in. As of this nine-game losing streak the Cavaliers are currently on, the rookie is shooting just 31.8 percent from the floor.
The Cavaliers take on the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night starting at 7 pm ET. The meeting with Indiana will be their third matchup of the season and will end the Wine and Gold’s four-game homestand, a homestand in which they’ve lost each contest by at least twenty points.
