It’s officially time to worry about Cedi Osman’s shooting.

Cedi Osman has been given a huge opportunity to prove himself this year and he hasn’t exactly made the most of it so far. This game was another example of that as Osman went four-of-13 from the field and was one-for-six from behind the arc as he finished with 10 points in 32 minutes of play.

Osman really struggled with his three-point shot on Friday night. He looked uncomfortable with his shot and appeared to be aiming the ball at times which is the last thing you want to do as a shooter. Unfortunately for Osman this was more than just a tough shooting night. He is now shooting just 25.0 percent from three in his last nine games, per NBA.com.

Osman’s ceiling and career in the NBA is linked closely to his shooting ability. He’s shown to be a decent wing facilitator and has shown flashes of being able to finish at the rim. Unfortunately those skills alone probably won’t keep him in the league if he isn’t able to develop into a much more reliable shooter.

To Osman’s defense this has been less than an ideal season for him as he’s probably been asked to do too much on the offensive end considering the Cavs’ lack of shooting. However, this nine-game stretch is concerning. Hopefully he can bounce back from this slump.
