David Nwaba continues to look good on offense

This was a pretty rough day for the Cavs in general, but Nwaba’s offense was once again a bright spot. Nwaba showed strength and touch to finish around the rim through traffic. He finished with a solid 11 points on five-of-eight shooting on the night.

Nwaba has been the Cavs most consistent perimeter defender this year and his offense is showing signs of coming around as he’s averaging 14.5 points on 70.6 percent shooting in his last two games. It’s a small sample size, but he has done an excellent job of knowing when are where to pick his moments to attack.

Nwaba is in Cleveland on a one-year deal and is showing that he could be a long-term rotation piece for this team. He has proven to be a tough defender on the perimeter and capable on the offensive end of the floor. It’ll be interesting to see how head coach Larry Drew handles his minutes as more rotation pieces return to the lineup.
