Should the Cavs keep playing fast?

Freedman:

It’s not working… like, not even a little bit. Slow the pace and maybe, just maybe, we’ll see a “1” in the W column before LeBron’s homecoming on November 21st (ALERT THAT GAME WILL BE NATIONALLY TELEVISED ON ESPN). Please, Coach Lue, slow the pace down and run the offense better.

Grey:

They should keep on playing fast because they’re playing their young guys. Cedi Osman likes to play at a fast pace and he likes to be the main playmaker on fast breaks. The NBA seems to be in a scoring boom. Teams are upping the pace at a high level this year. The Cavs would be smart to play fast.

Flickinger:

The Cavs should probably continue to play fast even though it’s looks pretty bad right now. The future pieces of this team are guys that will play their best in transition. Collin Sexton, Cedi Osman, and Larry Nance Jr. are all at their best in the open floor and it’s important for their development to be able to play in this kind of system.

Friedman:

No, Ty Lue hasn’t proven he can implement a new system. The Cavs really don’t have the personnel to play fast. Love isn’t going to beat anyone down the floor. Clarkson will take every contested layup, and aside from Cedi Osman, they really don’t have anyone who can push the pace and make good decisions consistently.

Mooneyham:

It’s hard to tell if the Cavs should change their pace of play. They haven’t been too efficient with their current style of attack, obviously. But who’s to say that slowing down the fresh legs on the court would be more beneficial? I think fast is the way to go, with a more controlled intent.
