Collin Sexton is a quick learner.

One of the things I liked the most about Sexton from Las Vegas Summer League was his ability to improve from game to game. His first Summer League outing was pretty rough, but every game he seemed to grow from the previous game. He improved throughout Summer League and grew into a dominant player at that level.

While Sexton won’t have as drastic a linear development in the regular season, it was encouraging to see him show a similar level of improvement from his first to his second game. Sexton played with much more poise and energy in his second game than he did in his first and the results showed as he led the team with 10 points in the fourth quarter.

Sexton is young and it’s important to be patient with his development. There’s going to be ups and downs for him this season, but it’s very encouraging to see him learn and improve like this from game one to game two.
