Quincy Acy

Acy is the only player on this list that’s a veteran but at 27-years-old, he can still fit the Cavs’ youth movement while providing necessary leadership on a team with eight players (Sexton, Taylor, Rodney Hood, Jordan Clarkson, Cedi Osman, Sam Dekker, Larry Nance Jr. and Ante Zizic) that will be younger than him.

He’s a noted locker room leader and heavily involved in community, winning the Oscar Robertson Triple-Double Award in 2016.

However, this is about more than his intangibles, of course.

An high-motor and athletic forward who’s solid as a pick-and-roll man because of his screens, Acy has developed into a solid three-point threat.

He’s made 36.7 percent of his threes (2.6 attempts per game) over the last three seasons and 41.2 percent of his threes from the corner. That would make him far more accomplished of a three-point threat than Dekker, the player whose roster spot who he would likely take.

Acy is also solid rebounder (career average of 7.9 rebounds per 36 minutes) but nothing special as a defender in terms of production, though he plays a tough-nosed brand of defense.

He’s the type of player the Cavs could use, if only for the short-term.
