NBA Power Rankings: Cleveland Cavaliers moving up in recent rankings
The NBA, especially the Cleveland Cavaliers, went through a dynamic change this offseason. That said, where do they rank heading into training camp.
The Eastern Conference and the Clevland Cavaliers both saw their King leave. As LeBron James moves to Los Angeles to continue his NBA career, the East is left with a guaranteed new face of the conference.
However, the King’s departure wasn’t the only thing that transformed the East this offseason. Kawhi Leonard being traded to the team up North, the Toronto Raptors, is arguably more impactful than James’ departure.
Other key highlights are Tyreke Evans’ signing with Indiana and Brook Lopez’s signing with the Milwaukee Bucks. Their dynamics and how they help their team will be interesting to watch. Along those lines, how the Cavs and other teams handle gaining or losing stars will also be imperative to their success.
There were also smaller changes like Dwight Howard being traded from the Hornets to the Wizards, and of course, all the draft picks and their impact moving forward. There are several teams that improved this offseason and some that relapsed, as is with every offseason.
That said, let’s dive into where each Eastern Conference team ranks prior to the beginning of training camp.
