Cleveland Cavaliers: 3 reasons why Cavs should sign Tyler Ulis
The Cleveland Cavaliers are obviously still searching for young talent to fit their culture, and Tyler Ulis might be able to perfectly fit in.
Per HoopsHype’s Alex Kennedy, the Cleveland Cavaliers recently worked out at least four former NBA players. Still searching for players to sign to their 15-man roster, Kennedy gave us a nice idea of where Cleveland is headed.
That said, it seems they’re shooting more for an experienced, yet younger, player. Sampson, Ulis and Williams have been seen success on others teams while Georges-Hunt seems to be more of a shot in the dark.
The Cavs have several positions they could still use depth at.
Albeit they have pretty solid depth, they could still use a traditional point guard to back up Hill and Sexton, in case Hill is traded or Sexton needs extra time developing his game in the NBA. The Cavs could also use a versatile power forward, one such reason they brought in Sampson for the workout.
That said, the former Phoenix Sun and Kentucky Wildcat, Tyler Ulis, could be useful for the Cavaliers as they move into the season, but he must prove that he’s worth that roster spot. Clearly, Ulis hasn’t seen much interest, so we’ll monitor how his situation with Cleveland progresses.
However, moving forward, they should consider him for these three reasons.
