We have officially entered the dog days of the NBA but that doesn’t mean Joe and I don’t have basketball to discuss! Cleveland Cavaliers trades and more are discussed in King James Gossip’s twentieth episode!

On today’s podcast, we talk about site co-expert Nathan Beighle’s article in which he ranks the five most likely Cleveland Cavaliers players to be traded, then we zip around the league to discuss some over/unders and finish by giving our way-too-early MVP predictions.

The episode runs roughly 40 minutes. Here’s a quick rundown of it all:

  • In talking about Beighle’s article, we discuss which Cavs we would (and wouldn’t) like to see traded on this team.
    • Is it worth getting rid of Kyle Korver? We talk about his value as a mentor to the younger players and what would warrant giving him up.
    • Should the Cleveland Cavaliers trade George Hill since his contract isn’t fully guaranteed for next season?
    • What about Rodney Hood?
  • Then we move onto some over/unders around the league.
    • Are you betting on the Celtics getting over 57.5 wins?
    • Did Houston get better or worse by adding Melo? Are they still the second best team in the league?
    • And Doug has a Lakers’ take that you probably won’t like, but you’ll find it difficult to prove him wrong.
  • Finally, what NBA dog days podcast would be complete without making irresponsible and much too early predictions about next year’s MVP? See who the guys have circled as front-runners in this upcoming season’s race.
