Creighton University retires Kyle Korver’s jersey

On Sunday, Creighton University’s men’s basketball program officially retired Cleveland Cavaliers sharpshooter Kyle Korver’s jersey.
This is quite the honor for Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Kyle Korver, one of the greatest shooters in both NCAA and NBA history, and much deserved.
Korver’s Creighton career
Korver played all four years as a Bluejay (1999-2003). In his 128 games for the club, he averaged 14.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game and shot 45.3 percent from three—and no, that’s not a typo. His career percentage ranks tenth all-time in the NCAA, since ’92-‘93.
He was named the Missouri Valley Conference’s Player of the Year in both his junior and senior seasons and was part of the ’02-’03 Consensus All-American second team.
He is Creighton’s leader in three-pointers made (371), three-pointers attempted (819), three-point percentage (45.3) and free-throw percentage (89.1). He ranks fourth all-time in scoring (1,801) and steals (172), eighth in assists (294) and ninth in blocked shots (58).
