The Cleveland Cavaliers rookie Collin Sexton has taken in all the Cleveland love, and in doing so, he went to the dawg pound for a Cleveland Browns game.

The Cleveland Cavaliers No. 8 overall pick, Collin Sexton, seems to be taking to Cleveland well. The 19-year-old took a day and went to the Cleveland Browns preseason game.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Collin Sexton out and about this offseason.

As a Cavalier, we got to see him absolutely balling for the Cavs throughout their seven games at the Las Vegas Summer League. Sexton is already setting high expectations for himself, becoming one of just three rookies to make the All-League first team.

During those seven games, Sexton averaged 19.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. He was an absolute monster, and his performance was quite the display of Sexton’s unique combination of talent and grit.

That’s what Cleveland desires though. They desire a player that perfectly embodies the city, and since James’ departure, the Cavs had to have someone fill that seemingly unfillable void. Sexton is that player.

From being born in Georgia to playing for Alabama to now making his way to Cleveland, Sexton is one of those players that have found success wherever he’s gone, and that’s something Cavalier fans find hope in. Cleveland is his next mission, but it might not be an easy one.

The Cavs are set to be a fringe playoff team and need significant contribution from Sexton to even sniff a playoff berth. Can he be the player Cleveland craves?

For Sexton, his biggest obstacles will be making smart decision and playing to his strengths. In an NBA that will challenge him much more than collegiate basketball or the summer league did, Sexton must understand when to shoot and pass and how to do so efficiently.

Nonetheless, he should be one of the league’s best rookie and hopefully guide the Cavaliers towards the postseason en route to winning rookie of the year.

Wishful dreaming? Maybe, but at the same time, it might not be too far from reality.
