Kyle Korver

I’d be shocked if the Cleveland Cavaliers still have Kyle Korver following the trade deadline.

Throughout his career, Korver has thrived on teams that are team-first in nature and work hard to find the best shot or possess a player with a unique passing ability.

For the last few seasons, he had LeBron James guiding the ship finding him open shots and prior to that he played on a very team-first Atlanta Hawks led by Al Horford and Jeff Teague.

This season, though, he has neither.

While the Cavs aren’t guaranteed to trade Korver, it seems unlikely that either the Cavs maintain the high asking price for Korver or another team fails to pay the first-round pick price tag, potentially attaching a protection to the pick.

Nonetheless, at 37, Korver is still at the top of his game. He made a career-high 3.8 threes per 36 minutes. Teams like Houston and Philly would be hard-pressed to find a better, more talented shooter on the market.

Along with a contract worth just $12 million over the next two seasons, it seems obvious Korver won’t be a Cavalier past the February trade deadline.

Without any special insight, these five players seem the most likely to be traded this season.
