This week Doug Patrick and I are joined by a special guest: site contributor Dan Gilinsky. We talk everything Cleveland Cavaliers, future and past.

In this episode we try something new. Many readers may not know, but the King James Gospel contributors have a group chat. We use this to discuss writing as well as the Cleveland Cavaliers and NBA as a whole.

This group chat is full of hot takes and on today’s episode we give the Dan Gilinsky the opportunity to “defend his take.”

Dan’s take you might ask? Tobias Harris should be signed by the Cavaliers next year for $100 million over four years. Is it ridiculous? Many people don’t like the idea of signing a borderline superstar for max contract money, but Dan makes a good point here.

Here is a rundown of the show.

  • We use this as an intro to the show and discuss whether Tobias Harris should be a Cavalier next year.
    • Dan, Doug and I debate how Harris might fit with the Cavaliers future that we see.
  • Next, we discuss whether Collin Sexton has a chance of winning Rookie Of The Year.
    • Will another rookie run away with the award or does Sexton have a chance?
  • Finally, we discuss which players on the Cavaliers beside Kevin Love could be an All-Star next.

There’s a lot going on during the NBA’s offseason, but we’ve officially hit the dog days. We are over half way through the offseason and have just a bit left till training camps begin. That said, we did scrape together some stuff just to give some content during this dry period.
