Cleveland Cavaliers draft picks since 2013: Where are they now?
The irrelevant group
So, the Cleveland Cavaliers have actually had several picks both in the first and second rounds throughout the last half a decade. Many of them, sadly, are not in the NBA anymore.
Of the four that are no longer in the NBA, three were drafted in the 2013 NBA Draft, a draft in which Cleveland selected four prospects. The most notable of the group was 2013 No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett who was selected over All-Star guard Victor Oladipo.
Bennett is now out of the league after four complete seasons and a total of 151 appearances.
Carrick Felix, Sir’Dominic Pointer and Sergey Karasev rounded out that four-man list.
Karasev appeared for the Cavs in 22 games before finding his way to Brooklyn and is currently playing in Russia.
For Pointer, the G-League player never got his feet under him and is now playing overseas for a Hungarian club.
Last but not least, Carrick Felix is still trying to make his NBA dream a reality. Felix has jumped around four G-League teams over the last few seasons and even played his past summer league for the Washington Wizards, yet nothing was made of it.
The Cavaliers have drafted reasonably well over the last few seasons, but they’ll need to do even better with the departure of NBA-great LeBron James.
