Cleveland Cavaliers draft picks since 2013: Where are they now?
The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a thrilling last half a decade, but their draftees haven’t seen the same success for the most part.
For the past four consecutive seasons, the Cleveland Cavaliers have found themselves playing well into May and early June.
That success has consequently yielded lower draft picks and less talented prospects. Although some of the Cavs draft picks since 2013 have seen success in the NBA, it hasn’t been with the team.
The Cavs 2011 draft class shaped the team as Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson quickly become the faces of the franchise.
Then the No. 1 overall pick in the 2003 and Ohio-native LeBron James came home in 2014. In order to improve the team, the Cavs traded many of their first-round picks in order to get complementary pieces like sharpshooters Kyle Korver and Channing Frye.
They had to do so in order to capitalize on an ever-shrinking Championship window.
Now, they’ll be looking back to rebuilding through the draft while maintaining relevance, hoping to make the postseason for the fifth consecutive season.
That said, let’s take a look back at some of these prospects and where they are now.
